Hierarchy
This week I turned in assignment 5 which was hierarchy. Controlling the eye, so that you are guiding the reader through out your work.

Today I got a look at the packaging of a Blackberry phone, and I must say even though I am an iPhone kind of guy, I really like the way that blackberry did their packaging. They kept it real simple, black box with silver foil letters, very clean.

This is exercise 3 of my typography class, Typographic Syntax.
The assignment given reads as follows:
“You will learn how to add simple design elements to single words
in order to visually demonstrate their meaning. By simply changing
color, size, placement, typeface and altering the word, you
will be transforming the written word into design.”

Here is my little typography book I made for class in pdf format.

Minimalism.

As some of you know, I am currently in school for graphic designing. The following book was made for typography class. We are taught to know the parts of a letter that make it recognizable. So we can dissect parts of a letter and still know that it is that letter. In other words, minimalism. Here is the book I made, I just finished it and it’s actually due at 2pm.
