This school semester I am taking another mandatory drawing class. Within the first couple classes I knew this was going to be a good class. I am very inspired by both the professor and my other classmates. We are studying animals and how to go from a real detailed figure, to a simplistic logo. This is the first out of a series of sketches. It feels good getting back into the motion of drawing.

coca cola can camera

I went to the bahamas about a month ago, there I seen some cool things all made with Coca Cola cans. Ever since then I have been curious to as how they made it. So I saved up a few cans and began to experiment. I wanted to start off small, and make something relatively simple. I chose to make a camera.

Camilo Molina

I met this guy in Drawing I. Today we turned in the first project, and I was very impressed by his work. The topic for this was 2012, and it was to be done on a 24 x 24 piece of masonry board with oil pastels. Here is Camilo Molina’s interpretation.

Not Them

Not Them is a cool Hip-Hop duo. They are pretty different but still have that classic Hip-Hop feel, and they support all art, what more can I say. NOT A SHOUTOUT, Not Them

Neon Forest

On Saturday night I went down to see the Neon Forest Gallery. The mixture of good artwork and music, spun by DJ CUB, brought together in a creative space, just gives you a feel good vibe. It was a nice experience, and I will be definitely going back soon.

Baking a cake

My lovely mother is a pastry chef. No proper schooling, no fancy degree, nothing. Just raw talent, and hours of practice. I’d like to think that I inherited her creative and persistent qualitys. Like most hispanic mothers, in the works of Celia Cruz, her “English isn’t too very good looking.” My mother never let that stop her though. Without my mother there would be no Kasa De Kriz. So this is a little dedication to her.

Got to mix is just right

Spread it out nicely

Add in the sufficient amount of liquor, making sure not to over power the flavor

And finally put it all together and create a CAKE MASTERPIECE

I would have more photos, but my mother kicked me out of the kitchen.
