Project:Shirt

So with a new found interest in sewing, I took a shirt ripped it apart and tried to put it back together.

I sewed together half of the shirt, horribly, but atleast I understand the concept.

Conclusion, this project was a FAIL. I was like a little kid who just barely learned how to ride a bike with training wheels, and tried to take on a steep downhill. However, I had fun, and it’s definitely not the last time I sew.

Maybe one day there will be KRIZ MADE SHIRTS. As for now, i’ll just keep having fun with it.

Graffiti Artist: GUY

I met up today with an old buddy of mine. He’s an amazing graffiti artist. I met him about two years ago, in the architectural cad program at our high school. Neither of us really paid attention in class, all we did was draw all day long. Since then a lot of things have changed, like now they call him “GUY”. He might be going into the army, and as for me I’m pursuing a career in graphic design. We are going to take it back to the good old days, when we use to draw. We are working on collaboration pieces, stay posted to see more. Here is one of his graffiti pieces.

UP movie Fan Art

I love this movie, and the artwork along with it. I like how the little girl in the movie is all excited and friendly, meanwhile the boy is shy and quiet. Here’s a little sketch of the girl from the beginning of the movie.

Charles and J.Frank Duryea gasoline-powered car, 1893. I drew this with pen on a page from someone’s agenda, in my history class while the teacher was reviewing for the midterm. Ever since I was young I was always drawing on everything, from hand-out worksheets, to the top of desks.

Director Of Mulan

Today I was invited to a go with a friend to a “get together”. Here I met the director of the Disney Movie “Mulan”, Barry Cook. At first I was a little nervous. I didn’t have the nerve to just take photos of this man’s house, but after a while of talking, I finally got the courage, thanks to my friend, to take a few photos. Barry was a real cool guy, very down to earth. He gave my friend and I a little tour of the house, showing us few art works and telling us stories of his work.

In the end credits of the movie Mulan, Christina Aguilera sings a song. Barry was telling us how he got to meet her. At the time she was a little 16 year old girl, she was constantly complaining about how tired she was.

This was a pretty cool evening, here are a few photos I took.

Florida’s Art Scene

When you think of California or New York, you think of Art. Their art scene are known nation wide. Mean while Florida, it doesn’t have anything. If you talk to anybody thats from Florida, they’ll all rep and brag about their home town “New York, Boston, Atlanta, etc”, but won’t say anything about Florida.

I want to change that. Florida is so culturally diverse, we have Haitians, Puerto Ricans, Columbians, Cubans, and people from all over the nation. If we all came together, we’d be able to make Florida into something great. I’m tired of hearing people saying how bad Florida is. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MAKE IT BETTER. We’re so stuck on how good our home town is, that we fail to give Florida a chance.

I myself for a long time wanted to move back to Puerto Rico, and for a time even California. I wanted to be apart of their art scene.

But this is my mind set:
Why move? What, so you can JOIN them? Be apart in their movement. NO, I say we create our own movement.

I will be Collaborating with other artists to make “FLORIDA’s ART Scene” known. I believe we can do something big. So with that I leave you, you can comment on your thoughts.
